Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a hands on therapy used to diagnose, treat, and prevent musculoskeletal issues.

Osteopaths focus on improving mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing the body's natural healing processes through gentle manipulations, stretching, and massage to restore balance.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that focuses on strengthening muscles, improving posture, flexibility, and body awareness. It is a great adjunct to treatment as it can rehabilitate the body to reduce the risk of injury and help improve back pain.

Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and abilities (include pre/post natal and elderly), as it is a great way to improve balance, control, core strength and flexibility.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are postures and breathing.

yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.

It is also a great portal for practicing mindfulness in our modern busy lifestyles.

Paediatric Osteopathy

Melissa treats children presenting with many common musculoskeletal conditions, from birth to adolescence.

Melissa is trained to conduct full examinations of babies musculoskeletal systems as well as looking for signs of other problems that may cause babies to be unsettled. She will take into account age, family and babies medical history, pregnancy and birth history while exploring numerous avenues in your baby’s feeding, sleeping and playing routines.

Because babies are not able to communicate in the same way as adults the precise and thorough paediatric physical examination allows her to thoroughly assess and offer advice according to her findings, including referral pathways (back to your GP or paediatrician for medication or screening) where necessary.

Pilates

Pilates is a great way to improve flexibility, posture and build strength. It is beneficial for general health and fitness, and can be a rehabilitation tool for improving injuries. Specific floor based exercises and spring resisted equipment will be used to train the body’s deep postural and ‘core’ muscles.
